Ambasador wooden chess sets

The original Polish chess set “Ambassador” is crafted by the esteemed Polish manufacturer “Węgiel”, whose tradition dates back to the 1950s. “Węgiel” is the largest and oldest chess set producer in Poland and Europe.

The chess sets from “Węgiel”, especially the “Ambassador” model, are exported to numerous countries in Europe and around the world.

The featured model was created in the early 1970s and has been produced in almost unchanged form to this day.

The chess set is made of wood – the chess pieces are crafted from hornbeam (a very hard and durable wood), while the chessboard is made of birch plywood.
